The Bureau of Health Facilities licenses and certifies all types of health facilities in Kansas, including adult care homes, hospitals, home health agencies, and facilities for the mentally retarded. Its programs exist to assure quality care through two primary means -- establishing licensing standards and inspecting facilities to assure these standards are being met.
